The team at DUNOVSKÁ & PARTNERS successfully completed their mission representing the client Lázně Luhačovice, a.s. in a dispute over the ownership of a bridge located in a protected heritage zone on the spa promenade in Luhačovice, valued at over 500 million CZK. The representation included research into legal regulations and historical documents from the periods of Austria-Hungary, Czechoslovakia, and the independent Czech Republic. It was fascinating to trace the ownership transfers of this structure over time, up to the privatization era. The legal team at DUNOVSKÁ & PARTNERS was led by Jan Vavřina, with skillful assistance from Aleš Hradil.

For the ninth consecutive time, the Bank Board has reappointed Mgr. David Urbanec for another one-year term as a member of the Review Committee of the Czech National Bank. The Review Committee serves as an advisory body for the preparation of draft decisions issued by the CNB’s Bank Board in administrative proceedings. The committee primarily reviews appeals against CNB decisions, submits proposals, opinions, or legal assessments to the Bank Board, and provides legal positions. The committee members are recognized experts in the fields of law and economics.

ARICOMA has expanded its portfolio in the field of digitalization of public administration and tax systems. We are proud to have once again provided comprehensive legal support to our colleagues at ARICOMA during another acquisition in their IT portfolio. This time, it was a parallel dual acquisition.

The transaction involved two domestic IT companies that play a significant role in developing the Automated Tax Information System for the Czech Republic. As part of our M&A advisory, we conducted standard due diligence on the companies, negotiated transaction documentation, and handled the settlement process.
